Masala Channa Recipe | Channa Masala Gravy | Chickpeas Recipe


Masala Channa Recipe. In this video we will see how to make Channa Masala in urdu with english subtitle. This Channa Masala recipe is very easy to make and Channa Masala gravy is an ideal side dish for chapathi. For this gravy we need to soak the (chick peas) for 8 hours prior to start of the recipe. This soaking helps the chickpeas to cook easily. This channa masala can also be served with chapathi, poori, roti, parotta etc. In order to thicken the gravy I smashed some of the chickpeas and added them back to the gravy this thickens it. Also to obtain a smooth texture I ground the onions and tomatoes after sauteing them. But this is optional and you can proceed with the recipe without grinding it.


Chickpeas 2 Cup (Boiled)
Onion 1 (Chopped)
Tomato 1 (Chopped)
Oil 1/2 Cup
Green Chillies 4
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbs
Salt 1 tbs
Whole Garam Masala
Cinnamon 1
Black pepper 5
Cloves 3
Cumin 1 tsp
Star anise 2
Black Cardamom 1
youghurt 4 tbs


Step 1: Take a pot and add oil and onion and fry it until it become brown color. After that add Ginger Garlic Paste and stir it and then add Tomatoes, salt, Turmeric Powder, and stir it and then add 1/4 Cup Water and stir it and then cover it with lid and cook for 4 minutes on medium flame.

Step 2: After that add Chopped Green Chillies, Boiled Chickpeas, Whole Garam Masala Pickling and stir it on high flame for 2 minutes.
